Pet water bottle stands are not a one size fits all.  Also it is the height of your pet (not the weight) that will determine the height of the stand you will need.

We offer our adjustable Small Pet Gourmet Stands in two different heights which will fit a wide range of small pet types and breeds (cats, dogs, rabbits, the Exotics) from Pedigree to Mixed Breeds or Mutts.  Our 1-pint food bowls are stainless steel and dishwasher safe and are the best choice for food products as they can be easily cleaned, disinfected and/or sterilized when needed.

Just like us, animals have a variation of height within their own breed, even within the same litter.  For instance; Chihuahuas (according to the Encyclopedia of Dog Breeds book by Barrons’s) have a height range of between 6 to 9-inches.  That means that a litter could be born and within that same litter you might have one that is 6-inches in height and another that is 9-inches in height at maturity.  Breeders of the Munchkin cats (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchkin_(cat)) never know what their litters will be, as Munchkin cat litters may contain all Munchkin kittens, all normal kittens, or a combination of both.

Only you know your pet the best, and only you can make the decision that is best for them.  However, we have tried to provide you with valuable information (via our various website pages) and via Internet *resource links so that you can make a knowledgeable choice that is right for you and healthy for your pet. 

Internet *Resources for Dog Height Information

The buying guide table below is based upon information from various Internet websites.  Furthermore not all *resources used provided the same or consistent information.

For instance on the AKC website (*www.akc.org) they list two sizes for the Dachshund Breed; Standard and Miniature but they do not list a height for either.

On the Dog Breed Info Center website (*www.dogbreedinfo.com) they list three sizes for the Dachshund Breed; Standard, Miniature and Toy with a height range of:

• Standard Height:  14 to 18-Inches
• Miniature Height:  Up to14-Inches
• Toy Height:  Up to 12-Inches

In the *Encyclopedia of Dog Breeds hardcover book by Barron’s (http://barronseduc.com/0764157000.html) they list two sizes for the Dachshund Breed; Standard and Miniature with a height range of:

• Standard Height:  8 to 9-Inches
• Miniature Height:  5 to 6-Inches

So ~ will a Miniature Dachshund be 5/6-inches at maturity or up to 14-inches?  Clearly there may be a small difficulty in determining a stand height appropriate for an immature pet (especially if you do not know the breeder) or if you have a mixed breed puppy.

Internet *Resources for Cats, Rabbits and the Exotics Height Information

I have been unable to find a definitive *resource that provides the heights for *cats, *domestic skunks, *rabbits or *fennec foxes.

• From the cat shows that I have attended as a vendor the majority of cats would need a 25-inch water stand and only a few of them could use the 20-inch.  The adorable Munchkin cat is definitely in the 20-inch category as is the Persian.

• Based upon the information I have gleaned from the Internet a Fennec fox, domestic skunk or rabbit would also use either a 20 or 25-inch Pet Adjustable Water Stand™.
